Schlotzsky's is excited to host the 30th annual Schlotzsky's Bun Run in beautiful Austin, Texas! We are proud to be the longest-running 5K in the city and for the first time, we are hosting our very own 10K as part of the Bun Run! All proceeds of the run benefit the Austin Sunshine Camps, which through the support of the Austin Young Men's Business League, has provided summer camping experiences and leadership opportunities for under-served youth in the Austin area.

With the 5K and 10K options, the Bun Run is the perfect race for casual runners and serious racers alike! And don't forget the kids and your pets! Kids can run a fast, fun 1K and your dogs can join in the fun, too. Bring them along for an easy jog or enter them with you to be timed and see if your dog is the Fastest Dog in Austin. Race Expo - Kicks off with the 10K at 7:00 am

7:00 am - 10K - NEW for 2012!

8:30 am - 5K

Start/Finish - Auditorium Shores at the corner of Riverside Drive & S. First Street, across from Palmer Events Center.

Course

We are excited to add a 10K for the Bun Run for the first time. The 10K course will start at the corner of Riverside and S. First Street and take runners out on the course down Cesar Chavez, across Mopac, down Lake Austin Blvd and back. The 5K will start at the same spot, and follow a quick loop down Cesar Chavez toward Austin High School and then back toward Riverside. The Kid's K will be a fast, fun 1K race and will start and end at the start/finish line.

Kid's K

If your kids aren't quite ready for a full 5K and still want to get out and run - sign 'em up for the Kid's K! It's a fun, easy 1K race for kids 12 and under. After the race, bring them to the Kid's Korral at the Expo where they can enjoy fun activities, including a bounce house, face painting, special treats and more. Kid's K registration includes a Bun Run T-shirt, an official race number and a winner ribbon.

Team Challenge

You know what's even more fun than running the Schlotzsky's Bun Run? Running the race as part of a team. Challenge your friends, family members and coworkers to a little friendly competition and sign up a team to run the race. The more teams we get on the course, the more money we raise for the Austin Sunshine Camps - and the more fun you have! Registered teams will automatically be entered to win prizes for Austin's Fittest Buns, Austin's Fastest Buns, Austin's Best Lookin' Buns and Austin's Most Generous Buns.

Fastest Dog in Austin

Think your dog is the fast dog in the city? Then prove it! When you register to run the 5K you can add man's best friend to your chip timer and your dog's time will be clocked in along with yours. We'll have special awards after the race for the official Fastest Dog in Austin. Have a dog that prefers a Sunday stroll to racing pace? That's okay! The Bun Run is one of the few dog friendly races in town, so bring ‘em out to run, jog or walk with you! Just make sure all dogs participating in the run are on a leash.

Register

Register any time before 7pm CST on Friday, April 27 and pay just $35 for the 10K and $30 for the 5K. Price includes your choice of timed or untimed registration. After 7pm on April 27, fees will be $40 for the 10K and $35 for the 5K.

Kid's K prices are $15 right up until the race, and Fastest Dog in Austin prices are $10/dog until the race.

Packet Pick Up - April 25-28

Packet pick up will be at the Schlotzsky's restaurant at 218 S. Lamar in Austin. Below are the dates and times for pick up.

Wednesday, April 25 - 3 pm to 7 pm

Thursday, April 26 - 3 pm to 7 pm

Friday, April 27 - 3 pm to 7 pm

Saturday, April 28 - 10 am to 6 pm

You can pick up your packet and register for the Bun Run at Auditorium Shores on race day from 5:30 am until 30 minutes prior to race start.
