For 25 years, the Schlotzsky's® Bun Run® has benefited the Austin Sunshine Camps. For 78 Years, the Young Men's Business League of Austin (YMBL) has been sending at-risk and underprivileged children to the Austin Sunshine Camps. The huge volunteer base of Schlotzsky's and the YMBL allows the Bun Run to donate more than 94 percent of race proceeds directly to the children. The YMBL Austin Sunshine Camps serve over 1,000 at-risk and disadvantaged youths annually by providing year-round programs, and by giving kids the unforgettable experience of a real summer camp. The camp sessions are week-long retreats that include canoeing, hiking, swimming and other activitiesall at no cost to the children or their families. The YMBL volunteers help motivate children to excel in school, and encourage older children to think about college and their future.
The Sunshine Camps also provide programs throughout the year such as Wednesday night tutoring,
help with homework, and leadership programs. Since 1928, the Sunshine Camps have provided
disadvantaged children with experiences to enrich and nourish their lives. For more information,
